NRL duo Zane Musgrove and AJ Kepaoa arrested exterior Coogee Bay Resort

Wests Tigers duo Zane Musgrove and AJ Kepaoa are below investigation by NSW Police adhering to an incident in the early hrs of Sunday morning at a Sydney pub.

The pair had been denied entry into the Coogee Bay Lodge in Sydney’s east at close to 3am on Sunday when law enforcement allege they grew to become abusive and refused to shift on.

They have been then detained and taken to Maroubra Police Station where Kepaoa, 20, was fined for failure to transfer on from the pub when directed.

Musgrove, 24, was not fined and neither participant was charged, whilst police have confirmed the investigation is ongoing and even further action is envisioned.

“Just just before 3am currently (Sunday), officers from Eastern Beaches Law enforcement Region Command attended a licensed premises on Arden Avenue, Coogee and spoke to protection who had refused entry to a amount of patrons,” a NSW Police statement read through.

“Police spoke to a team of men and women outside, directing them to leave the vicinity when two men allegedly became abusive, refusing to do so.

“Both adult men, aged 20 and 24, were being arrested and taken to Maroubra Law enforcement Station right before being unveiled shortly just after.

“The younger male has considering the fact that been issued an infringement for excluded particular person continue to be in vicinity of licensed premises.

“Further motion is envisioned, inquiries carry on.”

The Coogee Bay Hotel is the exact pub wherever Musgrove was accused of indecently assaulting a female on a dancefloor in late 2018.

He was acquitted of the charge in April of 2020.
