Germany’s Scholz to travel to Kyiv with Macron and Draghi before G7, Bild am Sonntag reports

FRANKFURT, June 11 (Reuters) – German Chancellor Olaf Scholz will journey to Kyiv with his counterparts from France and Italy before the Team of 7 summit at the end of June, the German newspaper Bild am Sonntag documented on Saturday.

It cited French and Ukrainian federal government resources.

A German authorities spokesperson advised Reuters: “We are not ready to validate this.” Questioned by Reuters, the Elysee palace declined to verify the information. The Italian govt did not straight away reply to requests for remark.

French President Emmanuel Macron has sought to retain a dialogue with Russian President Vladimir Putin given that the war began.
