ORLANDO, Fla. – Two Florida sheriff’s deputies have been disciplined immediately after an investigation uncovered they shared news of actor and comedian Bob Saget’s loss of life with family members or mates prior to regulation enforcement had notified Saget’s relatives, in accordance to an investigative report.
Saget, 65, died on Jan. 9, 2022, immediately after he was located unresponsive in his area at The Ritz-Carlton lodge in Orlando, in which he was being while performing comedy shows in the area. The healthcare examiner mentioned Saget died after he fell and strike his useless.
In accordance to the investigative report, in the several hours right after Saget was found unresponsive and regulation enforcement was conducting its investigation, Orange County deputy Emiliano Silva, who was amid the initial to react to the lodge, evidently sent a text message to his brother about Saget’s demise, who in convert shared the news in a considering that-deleted tweet.
The deputy did not know his brother shared the information on Twitter right until he was revealed a screenshot forty minutes later on, the report stated. He was upset and requested his brother to delete the tweet. However, by that time, other media stores began to inquire about Saget’s noted death, the report explained.

A 2nd deputy, discovered as Steven Reed, was not on responsibility or component of the investigation at the resort, but was educated of Saget’s dying by one more Orange County deputy. Reed then shared the news through textual content messages with two of his neighbors, who had reportedly attended a person of Saget’s reveals times prior to his demise, the report mentioned.
In equally instances, Saget’s dying had not been confirmed to his loved ones.
The two deputies have been observed to have violated the department’s dissemination of information and facts directive and attained disciplinary agreements as a result of the “Willpower Dispute Resolution Process.” The report does not record what the precise disciplinary actions were.
