BCU secures $7.5M in state funds for McCamly Plaza Hotel renovation

The revitalization of Struggle Creek’s McCamly Plaza Lodge is getting a enhance of state funding.

Tuesday, the Michigan Strategic Fund unanimously permitted a $7.5 million neighborhood revitalization personal loan in assistance of the task.

The 239-space lodge, developed in 1981, will work as a DoubleTree by Hilton, managed by Zeeland-centered 6PM Hospitality Companions, the moment renovations are complete.

The $59-million rebrand and renovation is anticipated to be wrapped up by the third quarter of 2023.
